Summer in Schladming Dachstein

Walking and hiking

If you like, you can start right at the Lindenheim, for example with the “Wilde Wasser Tour” along the Ober- or Untertalbach, or with one of the numerous themed trails. For hikes and mountain tours of all levels of difficulty, we recommend the hiking bus, the stop is only 50 m away. Our mountains, hundreds of springs, streams and lakes, known for their abundance of water, invite you to linger. And the hearty snack on one of the many managed alpine pastures is also a “must”. We recommend a hiking map for your orientation and safety. We are happy to help you with the choice of tour.

Downhill

A bike park for adrenaline junkies and nothing for the faint of heart can be found on the Planai. Downhill at its finest with Flow trail, Black Downhill, 99 Jumpline and Uphill track. From downhill rookies to experts - this is where you will find your line! Alternatively, and cool for fathers with kids, there are two cool tracks on the Reiteralm to get a feel for this sport. Both mountains can be conquered with the same lift ticket and the free shuttle bus stops in front of our front door.

Mountain bike

As enthusiastic mountain bikers, we know the region like the back of our hand. We are happy to give tips for the most beautiful, easiest or most demanding tours. Schladming Dachstein offers a wide range of options for mountain bikers. Routes through wonderful natural landscapes, oxygen-rich forests and lush alpine meadows to clear mountain lakes at 2,000 meters above sea level - we have something for everyone. Rustic alpine huts along the paths complete the experience with local delicacies.

Wilde Water`s

Bubbling springs, babbling brooks, rushing waterfalls, quiet mountain lakes, or frozen to ice on the glacier. Hardly any area in the Alps is richer in water than the Schladminger Tauern. The highlight is the “WildeWasser” themed trail. From Schladming through the Talbachklamm into Untertal and on to the Riesach waterfall. From there it goes through the alpine trail "Höll" over a suspension bridge and steep trails to the Riesachsee. And the Alpine Tour over the "Klafferkessel" at 2,700 m above sea level as an insider tip, with dozens of small lakes surrounded by green grass as relics of the last Ice Age.

Via ferratas

In no other sport do you come as close to the mountains as in climbing, with us with maximum safety and on fixed routes. At 3,000 m, the Dachstein is the highest peak in Schladming-Dachstein. Here you will find a true paradise for every age group: 26 via ferratas, including one children's via ferrata and three youth via ferrata. We recommend trained guides for beginners and children.
